A twenty-six-year-old Muscovite decided to sell her soul at an online auction, setting a minimum lot price of five hundred thousand rubles. According to the owner of Catherine, the regional development manager of a large company, she needs money to improve her living conditions, and she is critically short of a small salary.
In addition to selling the soul, Catherine hopes for voluntary donations from visitors to the online auction. However, no proposals or donations to her have yet been received. “Only obscene letters,” complains the owner.
According to the Izvestia newspaper, Catherine spontaneously came up with a desire to make money in this way: "Work does not bring me high income, and the apartment has long been in need of good repair."
The owner evaluates the condition of the "product" as "excellent (about the soul), well-groomed, slightly worn, but looks like new." The buyer of the lot will be issued a special document for unlimited use of the soul.
Catherine is not afraid of potential difficulties after the sale of her soul, since the buyer, according to the transaction, receives the right to use only the purchased “goods”, but he cannot control the body in any way. In a religious sense, the girl does not consider her step a deadly sin. “I didn’t come to sell the soul to the devil,” Catherine quotes.
According to Maria Khegai, the representative of the online auction, such unusual lots are quite rare. As a rule, despite the huge amount of attendance of such proposals, they do not focus much attention.
