The store shelves offer us a large assortment of various confectionery products, including waffles. But, no matter how tasty and beautiful they are, the aroma and taste of home wafers in any case exceeds the product sold. If it seems to you that it is impossible to make waffles at home, you are mistaken, wafer recipes, of course, cannot be called simple, but there is nothing complicated in their manufacture. Once you try homemade waffles only once, this treat will become a frequent guest at your table.

Chocolate Waffles - General Principles

Wafers traditionally include flour, eggs, butter, a liquid base (water, milk), cocoa or chocolate. You can replace some products with others, put something less, something more, add flavoring agents, additional ingredients.

All components included in the composition are kneaded or whipped, then the dough is poured in small portions into a special waffle iron or into a pan.

Much depends on the recipe and type of waffles, your taste preferences, so we will go directly to the cooking process.

1. Classic Chocolate Waffles

Ingredients:

• cocoa - a little less than half a glass;

• about half a pack of butter;

• egg - 2 pieces;

• 250 grams of sugar;

• a glass of milk;

• flour - an incomplete glass;

• vanillin, salt - a pinch;

• vegetable oil - to lubricate the electric waffle iron.

Watering:

• floor tiles of milk chocolate;

• milk - 230 ml.

Cooking method:

1. Pour the sifted cocoa powder through a pre-melted and slightly cooled butter, mix thoroughly until a homogeneous, thick consistency.

2. Separate the proteins from the yolks.

3. Pour sugar into the egg yolks, whisk a little with a whisk and pour into cocoa and butter.

4. Add the sifted flour and stir.

5. Pour in milk.

6. In a separate dry cup, beat the whites with salt until a firm foam.

7. Put the whipped proteins into the dough and gently mix everything with unhurried movements from the bottom up.

8. Heat the electric waffle iron well, grease it with vegetable oil.

9. Put a little cooked dough with a spoon, flatten.

10. Close the electric waffle iron, hold for about four minutes, open and check for readiness.

11. Pry off the waffle with a fork, carefully remove it from the electric waffle iron and put it on a flat plate to cool.

12. Bake the rest of the waffles in the same way.

13. Prepare watering: break a milk chocolate into a small cup, pour milk. With constant stirring, melt the chocolate to a gentle shimmering consistency.

14. Pour all baked waffles with prepared watering and serve on tea.

2. Chocolate wafers with baking powder for dough

Ingredients:

• an incomplete glass of flour;

• salt, baking powder - a pinch;

• 250 grams of sugar;

• cocoa - one handful;

• milk - 200 ml;

• butter - a small piece;

• two eggs;

• vegetable oil to lubricate the electric waffle iron.

For watering:

• vanillin - a pinch.

• butter - a small piece;

• 250 grams of powdered sugar;

• milk - a little less than half a glass;

To decorate:

• a handful of black currant, 2 strawberries.

Cooking method:

1. In a suitable bowl, mix all bulk ingredients.

2. Add eggs to the mixture, pour milk and melted cooled oil, stir well.

3. Prepare the sauce for watering: combine the soft butter with powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, mix well until a thick consistency.

4. Put a little dough on a hot, greased with vegetable oil electric waffle iron, bake for about three minutes.

5. Pour the baked wafers with the prepared watering, garnish with fresh black currants and strawberries.

3. Viennese Brownie Chocolate Wafers

Ingredients:

• a bar of dark chocolate;

• butter - 130 g;

• 2 large eggs;

• 6 large spoons of sugar;

• 2 large spoons of cocoa;

• half a teaspoon of vanillin;

• instant coffee powder - 10 grams;

• 15 large tablespoons of flour.

Cooking method:

1. In a deep metal bowl, break the bitter chocolate, add a piece of butter and, stirring, melt for a couple.

2. In a dry clean bowl, mix coffee, cocoa, sugar, eggs, vanilla, pour the creamy chocolate mass and mix well.

3. Pour the flour and mix until a homogeneous viscous consistency.

4. Put a little dough on a hot electric waffle iron, bake for a couple of minutes at high temperature.

5. Cut the chilled wafers into triangles.

6. Serve on a flat plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.

4. Chocolate waffles with nuts and berry sauce

Ingredients:

• butter - one pack;

• a little more than half a glass of sugar;

• 1 egg;

• a little more than half a glass of flour;

• cocoa - a small handful;

• sesame - a pinch;

• hazelnuts - 1 handful;

• vegetable oil - to lubricate the electric waffle iron.

For syrup:

• sugar - 20 grams;

• water - 20 ml.

For the sauce:

• a little less than half a glass of powdered sugar;

• 5 berries of fresh strawberries.

Cooking method:

1. In a large bowl, beat slightly melted butter with egg and sugar.

2. Add flour, cocoa and hazelnuts chopped in a blender.

3. Pour a little sesame, mix well.

4. Put the dough in a small amount with a spoon into a heated electric waffle iron greased with vegetable oil and bake for three minutes.

5. Prepare sugar syrup: over a small fire, boil a little water with sugar. Remove the foam with a spoon and cool.

6. Prepare the sauce: grind the strawberries in a blender to a puree state. Mix the berry puree with the prepared syrup, pour in the powdered sugar and beat with a mixer.

7. Put the baked waffles on a flat plate, pour with berry sauce.

5. Chocolate waffles with coconut

Ingredients:

• 4 eggs;

• sugar, flour - 1 glass without a slide;

• packaging floor of creamy margarine;

• vodka - 15 ml;

• coconut flakes - floor packs;

• peanuts - 1 handful;

• cocoa - a little less than half a glass.

Cooking method:

1. Combine the eggs with sugar and beat until white and dissolve all the sugar grains.

2. Melt margarine by steam, cool, add to eggs, pour vodka.

3. Pour the prepared flour, stir well.

4. Pour coconut flakes, mix.

5. Peanuts, peel, grind in a blender and pour into the dough with cocoa, mix (if the dough is very thick, you can pour a tablespoon of mineral water or milk into it).

6. Put a little dough on a hot waffle iron, bake for about three minutes.

7. Each baked wafer with wet hands is rolled up.

8. Serve on the table. If desired, each waffle can be stuffed with some cream or boiled condensed milk.

6. Chocolate wafers without baking

Ingredients:

• wafer bread - 200 grams.

For filling:

• anniversary cookies - a little less than half a kilogram;

• half a pack of butter;

• 6 large spoons of powdered sugar;

• 2 eggs;

• cocoa - three large spoons.

Cooking method:

1. Make the filling: break the "anniversary" cookies into small pieces and grind in a blender. Mix with lightly melted butter. Beat the eggs, add cocoa and icing sugar, stir well until smooth.

2. On one wafer bread, smear the cooked filling, blind with a second bread. And so do in several layers.

3. Press the collected wafer bread a little with your hands, put it in a deep bowl and let it brew in the refrigerator for several hours.

4. Finished bread rolls cut into small rectangles and serve on the table for tea.

Chocolate Waffles - Tips, Tricks

1. Chocolate in the recipe can be replaced with real cocoa powder and vice versa.

2. Instead of sour cream, you can include homemade mayonnaise or fatty well-whipped natural cream in the composition of the waffles.

3. Do not forget to sift all dry ingredients, such as flour, cocoa, vanillin, so the dough will be airier, more tender, without any lumps.

6. Oil can be replaced with margarine, but in this case the product must be of high quality.

7. For a special aroma and exquisite taste, a little rum or cognac can be added to the dough.

8. Wafers are delicious, if you add a little chopped nuts to the dough, you can use walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts or peanuts.

9. Improving the taste of goodies will also help the addition of natural flavors: vanillin, cardamom, cinnamon, star anise, etc.

10. You can reduce the calorie content of waffles by using water instead of milk.

11. Before baking, be sure to beat the dough again, the waffles will turn out tastier.

12. Wafers are baked only on a well-heated waffle iron or mold. Normal utensils need to be thoroughly greased with oil, there is no need to lubricate dishes with non-stick coating: the oil included in the dough will not allow the wafers to stick.
