Most often, children are dressed in the Snow Maiden, Little Red Riding Hood, Gray Wolf, Teddy Bear, princess or prince. In the Russian tradition of holidays, oriental characters appeared. This is an oriental beauty-dancer, genie, Princess Jasmine, Aladdin and others.

The costume is easy to manufacture. Consists of harem pants, arm ruffles, bodice, head jewelry and monisto. Beauty, complexity and uniqueness - in beadwork. It is important to use high-quality beads in your work: even, without chips, without visible scratches. Therefore, it is recommended to use only round-shaped material, no bicones, triangles and bugles. This is the main rule when sewing a suit for a child and his safety.
Materials and tools: two types of fabric (chiffon, satin), nonwoven, elastic, beads and pearls artificial, cardboard, pattern paper, scissors, dressmaker meter, chalk, pencil, ruler, washing elastic, needle, needle for beads with a small eye, threads for sewing machines and especially durable for beads, sewing machine.
Stage 1
At this stage, bloomers are made. For a pattern, you will need measurements of the length of the product, the circumference of the waist and legs in the widest part. If desired, with some experience in sewing, you can immediately cut the fabric, since the cutting pattern is simple.
It takes 1.5 meters of lightweight textile with a girl’s height of 160 cm. The fabric used is ironed and doubled.

Next, a quarter of the circle is cut onto the fabric, as seen in the picture.
Cut out circles are attached to each other and sewn for the oriental costume with their own hands for the girl.
Side seams need to be processed so that the material does not crumble. After that, the outer side seams on the pants in several places can be sewn with a stitch from 5 to 10 cm. Instead of stitching, the fabric can only be grabbed and sewed on beads.
An elastic band is inserted into the belt. To do this, it is enough to wrap the upper edge of the bloomers twice across the width of the rubber product. The fold is sewn with a simple straight stitch on a sewing machine. Only a small hole is left for screwing in the gum, which is then sewn manually with a blind seam. For convenient adjustment of the width of the belt, the hole can be left open.
The lower edge of the trousers is also pulled together with an elastic band. It is inserted in the same way as on the belt.
Stage 2
For sewing a bodice, it is recommended to use a ready-made suitable T-shirt or t-shirt. They can be cut short and beaded. In the alternative, the bodice is made independently. The following is the simplest pattern for an oriental beauty costume.
Two squared fabrics are added to elastic and sewn to chiffon sleeves. The bottom of the bodice is decorated with colorful fringe. Ease of wearing is delivered by the inserted elastic band, gently pulling the shoulders, back and chest, allowing you to move freely during children's games.
Stage 3
Making a belt for a suit consists of several stages.
• The waist circumference of the girl is divided in half;
• Cardboard is taken and two parallel lines are drawn on it. Their length is equal to the figure obtained above;
• The width between the lines is chosen arbitrarily. For a girl, in practice, 10-15 cm is enough;
• 3 cm is drawn from the middle of the bottom line down. Beautiful concave lines are drawn from this new bottom point to the edges of the bottom line, as shown in the first picture of today's workshop;
• The belt should fit snugly on the figure of the girl. Therefore, the top line on the cardboard also needs to be rounded down 2.5 cm;
• The resulting pattern is cut out and tried on the figure;
• We recommend using hooks as a fastener. Velcro spoils the aesthetic look of the costume. Secret lightning can break away from stress during children's games;
• The pattern is laid out on the fabric and cut for the outer (front) side and the wrong side;
• Next, the doublerin is superimposed on the finished part, which is ironed for gluing to the fabric. It is recommended to trim doubler on all sides by 2 cm for future tucking of the main fabric;
• At this stage, two sides of the belt fabric can be sewn into one product. Both parts are turned inwards on all sides.
• Hooks are sewn to the belt;
• Now the belt of the oriental costume for the girl with her own hands is decorated with an elegant pattern of beads and pearls.
Stage 4
Making fastening the patch belt to the harem pants will not take much time. It is important to immediately discard the use of pins. It's not safe. Professional dancers sew on a removable belt on the wrong side of the button, and on the trousers make slits for buttons. Slots are needed in front, behind and on one side, where there are no hooks.
Stage 5
Organza is used as a decoration for the head. In eastern countries, a turban is often used for dancing.
For its manufacture, a fabric of 20 cm length and a width of 3-5 cm is taken. It is sewn from the wrong side, turned out and stuffed with synthetic filler, for example. The ends are connected and a semblance of a turban is obtained. It is important to measure in advance the girth of the head for the costume of the oriental beauty, made by hand for the girl.
The turban is wrapped in a spiral with braid or tape.
Organza is sewn on the inside of the headgear. It will turn out a big and magnificent veil. Along the edges it is decorated with a bright ribbon, beads, beads.
Stage 6
Armbands are sewn in a familiar simple technique. The girth of a girl’s hand is measured. To the resulting figure an allowance is made for the air form of the product. It is enough to add 10-15 cm. Two rectangles are cut from the fabric. On their long edge, each section is sewn in small stitch on a sewing machine. A gum is inserted at both edges. The edges for this are simply bent twice. In the center of the resulting product, you can also insert an elastic band. It is recommended to sew satin ribbons on top of all three inserts and decorate them with beads and pearls.
Stage 7
The final and difficult stage is decorating the costume with beads and pearls. This work is painstaking and interesting.
Better to start with a picture. On the Internet, you can choose an oriental ornament, floral, abstract, or come up with your own. With a pencil or a disappearing marker (a simple marker will never be erased or washed off from water) a pattern is drawn on the bodice, on the removable belt, on the headgear.
In this matter, it is important to combine colors correctly. There are special color compatibility tables. Thus, the oriental costume will sparkle with colors and light. The combination of large crystal stones with beads of medium and small sizes is successful.
The work uses a special needle for beads with a thin eye and extra strong threads that break with difficulty and with great tension.
